Artists from the state of Oaxaca Mexico have been creating tin art for many years. The tin is carefully cut then designs and texture are created by pounding the tin. The tin form is often painted with rich jewel-toned paint and this one has been painted in red and black.
There are 11 smaller hearts around the edges. Be sure to click on the image and it will expand to more easily see the details. It measures 8.5 inches tall by 7.5 inches wide. This heart from Mexico will dramatically grace your wall, the mirror reflecting light into your room. The photo was taken with the mirror turned around to avoid the reflection from the flash. There is a tin loop on the back to hang the heart on the wall.
